Percentage of Property Owners Formerly Under Hyde Restrictions Who Signed the Integrated Deed Restrictions
For those wondering what the numbers look like, 58% of those previously under any version of the Hyde Restrictions signed the Integrated Deed Restrictions. The percentages in each geographic region varied from a high of 87.5% to a low of 54.3%.
On May 5, 2016, the number of signatures exceeded the required majority and the Integrated Deed Restrictions became the law of the land with respect to ALL affected properties.
Once we achieved a comfortable majority, we had no need to pursue further signatures. As volunteers, Board Members have other tasks to focus on, like replace the runway. Please understand that the percentages above can only increase, but whether they do makes no difference.
The Hyde Restrictions no longer exist but they still have historical value. They will remind future generations how not to run an airport.
Those under the Aero Valley Development Company deed restrictions just needed to activate the airport's original governing body. That occurred on April 23, 2016 when qualified property owners voted almost unanimously (only one "no" vote) to amend the POA's Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws to transfer the airport's governing authority under those restrictions to the Board of Directors.
